To qualify, open a TDBC Smart Account and provide your email address. Within 3 months of opening the account, set up and complete on a recurring basis each month 1 eligible direct deposit OR 2 different eligible pre-authorized debits (each, a “Qualifying Action”). The monthly fee will be rebated for the month in which the account is opened and for the next 3 months.
If at least 1 Qualifying Action is completed each month for the subsequent 9 months following the first 3 months after the account was opened, the monthly account fee will be rebated for each month in which the Qualifying Action occurs. The monthly account fee will apply for each month where no Qualifying Action occurs and at the end of the offer period without further notice. 3 A transaction includes cheques, withdrawals, transfers, pre-authorized payments, bill payments (including TDBC Credit Cards and TDBC Personal Lines of Credit) and debit purchases. For TDBC eAdvantage Savings Accounts, a transaction does not include transfers to your other TDBC bank account(s) using the transfer function on TDBC Online Banking, TDBC Mobile Banking, TDBC Telephone Banking and at TDBC ATMs. For all accounts, transfers to TDBC-branded loans (excluding TDBC Personal Lines of Credit), mortgages and investments (registered and non-registered) are free. "TDBC-branded” means any brand that has TDBC in its name and is offered by TDBC or its Canadian affiliates (and does not include TDBC Bank USA). Other fees (in addition to any transaction fee) include: withdrawals from non-TDBC bank machines (rebated for TDBC Smart Plus Accounts except the 2.5% administration fee on the converted amount of foreign currency ATM withdrawals), wire payments, Interac e-Transfer transactions (the Interac e-Transfer fee is waived for TDBC Smart Accounts, TDBC Smart Plus Accounts and for clients who are enrolled in TDBC Advantage for Youth, TDBC Smart for Students, TDBC Smart for Seniors (on the TDBC Smart Account) and TDBC Advantage for Students (on the TDBC Everyday Chequing Account)) and transactions in foreign currency (including cheques written in currencies other than the account currency).
4 "Paperless" record keeping is a paper-free alternative to statements and bankbooks. This option enables customers to track account activity online or by phone or TDBC bank machine. Please note, no electronic or printed statements will be sent to customers selecting this option. Customers must review their account transactions through TDBC Online or Mobile Banking, TDBC Telephone Banking or TDBC bank machines at least once every 30 days and examine all entries and balances at that time. If there are any errors, omissions or irregularities, customers must notify TDBC in writing within 60 days after the date on which the entry was, or should have been, posted to the account. Banking activity that occurred prior to Online Banking registration will not be available in the Online or Mobile Banking transaction history.
5 The rebate is also available for cardholders with the following TDBC cards no longer available for new clients: TDBC Aventura World Mastercard®, TDBC Aventura World Elite® Mastercard, TDBC Aerogold Visa and TDBC Gold Visa. The rebate is up to $139 on the annual fee for primary cardholder and $50 on the annual fee for up to 3 additional cards.

6 To qualify for the TDBC Banking Bundles, you need to have an eligible TDBC Mortgage or Secured Line of Credit, a TDBC Investment and either a TDBC Credit Card or Creditor Insurance.
7 Regular interest (“Regular Interest”) is calculated daily at the current rate on each day’s full closing balance and paid monthly.
Interest is credited to your account as of the last business day in the interest period. However, the interest cannot be withdrawn, and will not be printed at branch terminals or at TDBC's Bank Machines or made available through TDBC Telephone or Online Banking, until two business days after the end of the interest period.
